Initiatives for Future Energy
There are high expectations for the use of bioethanol and natural gas as a means of energy security and as a way of combating air pollution.
To help realize a sustainable society, the Nakagawa Bussan Group is conducting investigations and examinations on alternative fuels while exploring various possibilities.
We are implementing various sustainability initiatives to ensure a stable supply of energy for the future and to realize a better energy society.
Nakagawa Bussan was selected for the Ministry of the Environment's Eco Fuel Utilization Promotion Subsidy Program and began manufacturing and sales of E3 gasoline for the first time on a commercial basis in Japan.
E3 gasoline, developed to reduce CO2 emissions, which is the key to combating global warming, is an environmentally friendly automotive fuel that blends gasoline with 3% plant-derived bioethanol.
Nakagawa Bussan started selling next-generation biodiesel fuel, a mixture of conventional diesel and 20% biofuel, to the general public at service stations in 2022.
It is a blend of 80% conventional diesel and 20% HVO, a biofuel made by hydrorefining plant materials.
It is a hydrocarbon fuel that has the same properties as fossil-derived diesel fuel and can be used in current diesel vehicles.
